Dental Topics
Teeth Whitening
"When it comes to teeth whitening, you may see many different methods featured online and in magazines from oil pulling to charcoal.
It's no surprise that DIY whitening is top of mind. When the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry asked people what they’d most like to improve their smile, the common response was whiter teeth."

Fluoride
"Fluoride is often called nature’s cavity fighter and for good reason. Fluoride benefits both children and adults. Fluoride is naturally found in most water sources.
Fluoride, a naturally-occurring mineral, helps prevent cavities in children and adults by making the outer surface of your teeth more resistant to the acid attacks that cause tooth decay."

Dental Visits
"To maintain optimal oral health, the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends regular dental visits, at intervals determined by a dentist.
In light of a new study published in the Journal of Dental Research titled "Patient Stratification for Preventive Care in Dentistry," the ADA wants to remind consumers that the frequency of their regular dental visits should be tailored by their dentists to accommodate for their current oral health status and health history."

Brushing Teeth
"Brush your teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled brush. The size and shape of your brush should fit your mouth allowing to reach all areas. Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums.
Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush won’t do a good job of cleaning your teeth. Make sure to use ADA-accepted fluoride toothpaste. Brush the outer surfaces, then continue inward."
